Your Privacy Matters

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Our Commitment

Acutis is built on the principle that every person possesses inherent dignity. This extends to how we handle your personal information. Privacy is not merely a legal requirement—it is a moral responsibility rooted in respect for the human person.

Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication data used to create and maintain your account.
  • Conversation & User Content: Messages, prompts, AI responses, and any photos or images you upload. Uploaded content is stored using reasonable security safeguards and used only to provide requested functionality such as AI processing, history access, and feature improvement. We do not sell or use this content for advertising.
  • Usage & Technical Data: Basic analytics, device information, performance logs, and interaction data used to maintain reliability, security, and product improvement.
  • Optional Profile Data: Information you voluntarily provide, such as a profile photo or preferences.
  • Google Account Data: If you choose to sign in with Google or connect Google-related functionality, we may receive limited Google account information such as your name, email address, profile image, Google Calendar event data, and Gmail data permitted by the scopes you authorize. We use Google user data only to provide, secure, and improve the features you request.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Acutis service
  • To authenticate users and manage accounts
  • To generate AI responses and process uploaded content
  • To improve safety, performance, and features
  • To communicate service updates or important notices
  • To ensure platform security and integrity

We do not sell personal data, run third-party advertising, or use your information for cross-app tracking.

Acutis does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell Google user data, and does not use Google user data for cross-app tracking or profiling.

Third-Party Services & Processing

Acutis relies on trusted service providers for essential functionality such as cloud hosting, database infrastructure, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, authentication, and AI model processing. These providers process data only on our behalf and are required to protect it. We never sell personal information or share it for advertising or profiling.

When you submit prompts, messages, images, or other content for AI functionality, that content may be processed by third-party AI model providers solely to generate responses, provide requested features, improve safety and reliability, and operate the Service.

If you connect Google Calendar or Gmail, relevant Google data may also be processed by AI systems only as needed to provide the feature you directly request, such as a Morning Brew summary, a schedule summary, or an inbox summary.

Google Calendar, Gmail, and Google API Data

If you choose to sign in with Google or connect your Google account in Acutis, Acutis may access selected Google services only as needed to provide the features you request. This may include basic Google account profile information used for sign-in and connection identity, Google Calendar event data for connected calendar features, and Gmail data for connected inbox features.

Acutis uses Google Calendar read-only access to summarize upcoming events in user-facing features such as Morning Brew and user-initiated schedule questions. Acutis uses Gmail read-only access to summarize recent important emails and answer user-initiated questions about your inbox.

Acutis only requests read-only Gmail access. Acutis cannot send, delete, archive, label, or modify your emails. We may access Gmail message metadata, snippets, and message content only when necessary to provide the feature you request. For the initial Gmail feature, Acutis does not store Gmail message bodies unless you explicitly save or generate content elsewhere in the app.

Acutis stores Google OAuth tokens securely and in encrypted form as needed to keep your Google connection active. If you disconnect Google in Settings → Connections, Acutis stops future access and deletes or revokes stored Google connection tokens according to the app's connection-management flow. If you delete your Acutis account, associated Google connection tokens and related connection data are removed according to our account deletion process.

Acutis does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or use Google user data to train generalized AI models. Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing Acutis features that are visible in the app.

Acutis AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Protection and Security

Acutis uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, sensitive data, user content, uploaded content, and Google user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These safeguards may include encrypted connections, authentication protections, access controls, limited internal access, secure cloud infrastructure, logging, monitoring, and other measures designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of user data.

Access to personal information and sensitive data is limited to authorized personnel and trusted service providers who need access to operate, maintain, support, secure, or improve Acutis. Service providers are expected to process data only on our behalf and to maintain appropriate privacy and security protections.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. However, we work to protect user information using commercially reasonable security measures and continuously improve our safeguards as the Service develops.

This includes reasonable safeguards for connected Google account data and encrypted storage of Google OAuth tokens where needed to maintain Google Calendar and Gmail connections.

Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under laws such as the GDPR, we process personal data based on your consent, our contractual obligation to provide the service, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Acutis.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security, and analytics. You may control cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain functionality, and meet legal or security obligations. When you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data and uploaded content within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is legally required.

Connection-related Google account data and OAuth tokens are retained only as long as needed to keep connected Google features working, unless you disconnect Google, delete your account, or retention is legally required.

Your Rights

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Request a copy/export of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Disconnect Google Calendar or Gmail at any time in Settings → Connections

Children's Privacy

Acutis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.
