Acutis is an AI assistant grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Our mission is to provide helpful, truthful, and morally grounded assistance that respects the dignity of every person.

Our Foundation

Acutis draws upon the rich tradition of Catholic moral teaching, including Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the Magisterium. While we strive for accuracy and faithfulness to Church teaching, Acutis is an AI tool and should not replace personal discernment, spiritual direction, or the guidance of qualified clergy.

Acceptable Use

When using Acutis, you agree to:

• Use the service for lawful purposes that respect human dignity
• Not attempt to manipulate or deceive the AI into producing content contrary to Catholic teaching
• Not use the service to harass, defame, or harm others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or misrepresent the service
• Not use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Respect the intellectual property rights of Acutis and third parties

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to use Acutis.

Nature of AI Guidance

While Acutis is designed to reflect Catholic teaching, please understand:

• Not a substitute for the Sacraments: AI cannot provide absolution, spiritual direction, or sacramental grace.
• Not infallible: Despite our best efforts, responses may occasionally contain errors or misrepresentations.
• Not professional advice: For medical, legal, financial, or psychological matters, please consult qualified professionals.
• Encourages human connection: We encourage users to seek community, attend Mass, and engage with their local parish.

Intellectual Property

The Acutis service, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant us a license to use it to provide and improve the service. We respect the intellectual property of others and expect users to do the same.

User Content

You are responsible for the content you submit to Acutis. By submitting content, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate any laws or these terms. We may remove content that violates our policies.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. During our beta period, the service may be limited or change significantly as we develop and improve.

Limitation of Liability

Acutis is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using Acutis at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
