How is the Acutis app different from other AI apps?
Every AI runs on some set of values. Most are set by the company that built it, and they can change whenever the company decides. The Acutis app is built on the Catholic Church's moral teaching, refined over more than 2,000 years, so its answers rest on something far older and steadier than any company's opinion.
Is the Acutis app safe for kids and teens?
It is built with them in mind. Parents can see conversations, set time limits and get alerts on sensitive topics, and every answer is grounded in Church teaching. No AI is perfect, so we recommend that parents stay involved.
Can parents see what their kids ask the app?
Yes, if you turn on chat history in the Acutis app. You can read their conversations from that moment on, and they see a notice that you can. You can also choose to be notified if they ask about sensitive topics.
Is the Acutis app trying to keep me hooked?
No. The goal is to help people become more human, not to pull them deeper into a screen. The Acutis app does not pretend to be your friend, and it points people toward family, friends, prayer and the parish. We would rather you spend less time on it than more.
How should students use the Acutis app for school?
Use Learn mode. Instead of handing over answers, the Acutis app teaches the Socratic way: it asks questions, gives hints and makes students explain their thinking. The aim is for students to think more, not less. It won't write essays or do homework for them.
